Welcome to Stormy Shores Photography.

We’re Tyler and Scott, a father and son who were both born and raised in Sitka, Alaska. Alaska has always been more than just the place we’re from its home. It’s the mountains, the ocean, the wildlife, the rain, the quiet moments, and all the little things that become part of you when you grow up surrounded by them.
Photography has been a passion in our family for years. For Scott, it started at a young age simply by watching his dad, Tyler, and being inspired by his love for photography. That inspiration stuck. What started as something learned from his dad became a passion of his own.
Today, we primarily photograph the wildlife and landscapes that make Alaska so special. Our goal isn’t just to take a picture of Alaska, but to capture the feeling of being there, the moments that make you stop, look twice, and appreciate just how incredible the world around us can be.
Scott is currently away from Alaska attending college in Arizona, pursuing a degree in K–8 education. Even though he’s temporarily away from home, Alaska is still where his heart is. He plans to return to Sitka someday to teach and continue sharing the place that shaped who he is.
Through Stormy Shores Photography, we want to share a piece of that home with you. Whether you’ve lived in Alaska your whole life, visited once, or have always dreamed of seeing it for yourself, we hope our photographs give you a chance to see Alaska through our eyes.
Thank you for being here, and welcome to our little piece of Alaska.
